My wife and I will be heading to Europe in a few weeks. I have a last minute work trip, and she will be tagging along after to visit Europe for the first time. (We are from the US). She is planning to meet me in Berlin, and we have no other plans as of yet. These are some considerations:
Start Location: Berlin
Length: Seven Days
Budget: Outside of tickets, looking to spend around $2,000
Interests: We are looking for a trip with a mix of cultural element and places where we can enjoy ourselves and relax. A trip where could do a museum in the morning and wine tasting in the afternoon. We are foodies that love good wine and beer.
Likes/Dislikes: I have been to a few cities in England, Dublin, Brussels, Paris, South of France, St. Jean-de-Luz, Rome, Venice, and Sicily. I enjoyed all of them, but will likely skip England/Ireland for this trip to limit travel time.
Original Thoughts: One potential plan was to spend two nights in Berlin, fly to Paris for three nights, and then head to wine country for the remainder. Not sure if it is the right time to head to wine country though. Also, not sure if we are spending too much of our time traveling between places. Would love to hear thoughts on other fun trips starting in Berlin.
