Looking at travel insurance from Fast Cover for my 5 week trip to the UK

I am unsure whether it is worth it to get a plan A or Plan E cover. Plan A is comprehensive but the only real benefit I can see from it is the fact that it covers other travel expenses and delays. Has anyone ever had to claim for that?
