To those of you who have gone to New Zealand and supported one's self with an apartment/renting a room. I am wondering how easy it is to find a job to support one person in NZ. I am leaving in January and will be travelling the country (hitchhiking) and camping around for about the first month. After that I will be WWOOFing. During the time of volunteering I would like to spend the extra time not on the farm looking for a job to possibly get a place of my own.
Is this a sound way to go about things?
Anyone have any other ideas?
What are your experiences in the job search and supporting yourself in NZ.
Note, I do have a working holiday visa good for one year.
