3 day trip suggestions for college students from DFW?

Some friends and I looking for a place to go with 4-6 friends for a Friday, Saturday, Sunday getaway so that we can be back before Monday morning. We can go basically any weekend this summer (as long as it's before school starts on August 25th). We are obviously looking for a relatively cheap trip, but we are all willing to spend about $120, maybe a tiny bit more for doing any fun, active activities. We are starting in Fort Worth and would really like to get out of Texas, so not really trying to go to Austin or anything like that. We are looking for a place to camp and hike more than likely, but honestly just open to anything fun that we can make a memory out of!

So far I've been looking at places within a 400-500 mile radius, and nothing has really popped up. We were thinking of making the trip to Missouri and seeing Lake of the Ozarks or even going to Arcadia Valley. We are really looking for a scenic place. The original thought was to go to a place like Big Sur, Yosemite, or even make the trip up to Portland and go exploring around there, but all of those trips are too long of a drive. Anything similar/comparable to those places would be fantastic, but obviously the south/southwest is not the same as the west coast.

Any suggestions on destinations or trip ideas would be greatly appreciated, we are really trying to make the most out of our time left in college, and the summer is the time to do these trips! Thanks so much in advance for any help!
