My and my missus are looking at getting away in august for a couple of weeks and thought that the source of all knowledge (reddit) might have some great ideas!
What places have good beaches, as easy to fly to as possible, and have cheap cost of living?
Please recommend any good destinations? :D
WANT - good/great beaches(or lakes), sunshine, bit of culture, the cheaper the cost of living the better, some activities available, a few restaurants and places etc to look around
DO NO WANT - super touristy places, rave club land ibiza like destinations (we aren't big drinkers or clubbers)
You get a lot more for your money in places like thailand so you can get a great hotel which we love, but don't like the idea of the huge travel time (15-25 hours flights, then 12 hour bus to some palces). Any alternatives?
We've looked at some places in europe, like italy etc which looks ok, but will of course be a lot more costly once there compared to further destinations like thailand.
