I will be in Paris for about a week and am looking for somewhere else to visit for a few days while I'm in Europe. Where can I get to relatively cheaply/easily from Paris (budget for travel is preferably <$200 roundtrip)? I'm fine with traveling by train or airplane, but I'd prefer no stopovers and not having to rent a car.
Destination-wise: culture is a must, beaches are a plus (especially on the Mediterranean). Will be spending 2-3 days there, so must be enough going on to keep me entertained. No preference whether it is somewhere else in France or another country.
