A few months ago, my fiance and I booked a 7 day mediterranean cruise and flights (coming from the US) and the whole setup cost us roughly $4,200 for the trip itself (Royal Caribbean International, and the cheapest flights out), not including any sites or attractions at port. We were looking at Groupon last night and couldn't help but notice deals like this one and this. both of these end up totaling roughly $2600 (granted, this doesn't include meals, which are included in the cruise costs).
Our question is for all of you who have used Groupon in the past to book vacations (international gets extra points), how was it, and am I missing anything? How was the lodging?
