I'll be heading down to Guatemala City with a friend this Thursday. We've got a return date of Aug 25. The only set in stone plan we have is to take spanish classes in Antigua for the first week. We're up for traveling out of Guatemala - to El Salvador, Honduras, etc.
This is our first international backpacking trip. We are budgeting to spend around $30 a day.
I'm looking for any substantive advice - ranging from places to see, things to do, general backpacking tips, etc.
