I am considering going to either Philadelphia or Boston during January. The harsh weather isn't an issue (I'm from LA, and would like to experience snow for once), but I am worried I am going to arrive in an empty or almost empty hostel, and will have to tour the city by myself (not the safest thing to do, especially in a city like Philadelphia).
