My husband and I are going to be in Thessaloniki, Greece in late September and from there, we are heading to Sofia, Bulgaria. I see that there is now train service between the two cities, but I think the bus still looks to be shorter and arrives earlier, which is favourable for us.
We will be in Thessaloniki for four days, so I'm wondering if we should be alright to just buy the bus tickets on the day we arrive there, as they are not available online. We will be taking the KTEL bus.
