Looking to take a 5-day trip in mid-August with my gf. We live in San Diego. Where should we go?

Budget is $800 per person for airfare and hotel. Thinking New Orleans, Austin, or Miami, but open to other cities as well. Any suggestions welcome. We enjoy exploring local cuisine, history, bars, etc.
