Spontaneously have a weekend free and want to make the most of it.
Can leave as early as tomorrow morning and return by Sunday evening required. Preferably would like to visit either France or Belgium. It would be great if we could visit Bruges.
Budget: Travel < £75 per person (i'll work out the rest)
Currently considering:
Calais by coach or foot passenger ferry - could go from Calais to other places.
Cornwall by car
South Wales by car
Snowdonia by car
Is Scotland possible by train at this short notice in budget?
Considering the possibility of driving in France/Belgium by car but I figure it's a lot of hassle to get all the kit to make my car conform to European standards (safety/breakdown gear etc) and inform my insurance at such short notice.
So... where would you go?
