Advice on traveling Germany and Switzerland

My girlfriend (23) and I(24) are traveling to Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland this summer (End of July to August - 14 days). We land in Amsterdam. We were wondering if people have suggestions on where to go and what to see in our time in these countries. So far our plan is to take the train down to Basel first (8 hours of catching up on rest after the flight), then to Berne, Interlaken and the Luzenne (total 4 days). Then go up to Munich(3 days), frankfurt (1 day), Heidelberg (1 day), Colgne (1 day), Dusseldorf and Dortmund (2 days) and then Amsterdam (2 days) with a possible day trip to Bruges instead of one of the days in Amsterdam. What do you guys think?

Should we go in that direction or should we go through Germany first, down to Switzerland and take a long train trip back up to Amsterdam?

All insight and ideas welcome!
