18 year old looking to explore Europe before settling down

I am an 18 year old who is graduating highschool in the next few days. I have been accepted to a University that I seem to like very much. Talking to adults in my life about what they could do differently if they were young again has been one of the tools I have used in determining what I want to do with my life. I had plans to study political science and then continue my studies into law school. Seeing that I have a pretty large plate of schooling ahead of me, I want to be able to enjoy my time before I have the responsibilities of an adult. One of the biggest things I feel adults regret is not being able to see the world. Having a mortgage and not having the time or health to do it. Not sure where to begin, I came across the video of Alex Chacon driving his motorcycle to south america. Seeing the adventure he encountered made me want to do the same. Being scared shitless of south america, I wanted to explore somewhere less dangerous. Europe seems like the easiest place to do this. I am currently working crazy amounts to save as much money as possible. The college I would be attending does have a deferment program which would give me two years of free time where I would still technically be enrolled in the school but not be taking any classes. At the end of the summer I could see myself saving around 5,000 US dollars. Looking online it looks like the Eurail system would be the best route to go. I am completely open to seeing anything and everything. Adventure is what i'm craving. What are your thoughts Reddit?
