I am in the preliminary stages of organising a large group trip (~25-30 people) and we are looking into getting airline tickets. We hope to get some sort of group rate for this, but don't know how to proceed. We approached a couple of travel agents and one travel agent puzzlingly quoted a price which is greater than what we could have gotten direct from the airline. Does anybody know why the travel agent does this? Does this relate to their fees?
Any feedback whatsoever on how to obtain group rates would be great. We are in the UK and want to fly Emirates to Dubai. Thanks!
