Honestly, (as cheesy as it sounds) ever since I watched Lost In Translation, I fell in love with Tokyo, Japan. But prior to that, I've always been into the architecture, technology, fashion, culture, food, and the people.
I've googled a ton of "top things to do in Tokyo" but didn't feel satisfied with the lists, and would rather get personal feedback from people who have been out there.
I know for certain we will be visiting Disneyland while we are out there. Also, we've been very set on trying to visit Hayao Miyazaki's Ghibli Museum. (I'm a HUGE fan of Totoro, Spirited Away, etc.) Any advice on getting tickets there would be amazing.
Our trip will be a week long, if I'm not mistaken, from June 26-July 4th. Also, we will be staying at the Hotel Metropolitan Edmont.
Our budget is pretty flexible. I'm really into food, film/cinema, art, tech-savvy stuff, sneakers, streetwear and contemporary men's fashion.
Also, being an American, what is the best way to deal with the obvious language barrier out in Japan? Any useful apps or things I can bring to make communication/deciphering signs easier?
Appreciate any help and feedback, can't wait to see what you guys can share with me!
