We are doing a trip from Seattle down to SF. Flying into Seattle the evening of July 30th and flying back to NYC from SF on August 5th. Our original idea was to do the drive around the Olympic Peninsula to see the Olympic National Park rain first and "Second Beach" on the way from Seattle to Portland, but after some advice from folks at TripAdvisor forums, I have decided to skip ONP.
Right now places we are hitting are the Columbia Gorge, one or two attractions in Seattle and Portland, Oregon Coast down 101, Redwood National Park l, Ave. of the Giants and then an evening and an afternoon in SF before flying home.
Any advice or opinion?
Note: We have already booked the flights so we can't change the dates or the arrival or departure dates. We will also have a 4 month old infant with us.
