Travelers of Reddit: What is your worst story of lost luggage?

I have a friend who flew from Chicago to Salt Lake City but somehow her luggage ended up in Saudi Arabia. It got me wondering what are some of the worst/craziest/funniest/mind-blowing stories you have about losing luggage?
