Hi all,
I'm planning a kind of last second trip to Colombia and Ecuador, leaving some time around July 13 and arriving back in the states in early August. Between searching the web and this sub, I have found some information, but it is spread out and I thought it would be really helpful to try and consolidate everything. I guess I am looking for advice from those who have lived and visited these countries. I will be backpacking by myself most likely (a friend may join).
I am looking to see a little bit of everything, as it seems these countries have a mix of everything: cities, mountains, jungle, and beach. Obviously that is asking a lot so if you suggest one setting over another, please let me know! I am a decently experienced traveler who likes to do anything, so I feel like I would be happy to stay in any of these settings.
Budget isn't a huge concern, as it seems housing accommodations such as hostels in these countries are rather cheap, and so are flights. Certainly not looking for 5* resorts, though. Thanks everyone!
