Husband and I are going to Europe for two weeks in November. We plan to use AirBNB for lodging. (Never used it before, but I've heard great things. Any insight?) Budget - not really firm, but in looking up airfare, trains, and lodging it seems it won't possibly be under $5,000. Here is the tentative itinerary:
11/22 - SEA-LIS
11/23 AM - arrive in Lisbon. nap and explore.
11/24 - spend day in Lisbon. overnight train to Madrid.
11/25 AM - arrive in Madrid. explore.
11/26 - full day in Madrid.
11/27 AM - train to Barcelona.
11/28 afternoon - train to Paris. (arrive in Paris 11PM)
11/29 AM (yes, it's early. coffee will be a must) - short train to Tours. rent bicycles and spend the day biking along the Loire Valley river. stop for lunch along the way. return bikes in Orleans and take train back to Paris.
11/30 - full day in Paris.
12/1 AM - train to London. explore.
12/2 - spend day in London. 9 PM train to York.
12/3 - full day in York. Chelsea v. Tottenham game @ 7:45
12/4 AM - train/ferry to Dublin. explore.
12/5 - full day in Dublin.
12/6 - DUB-SEA
What do you think, redditors? Is this itinerary doable? We're not really into museums. We love to "experience the culture". Eat the food, do what the locals do, and see the monuments along the way. Any suggestions for what we MUST do at any stop? Thanks!!
