I've read the wiki regarding airfare and after following its advice I've come to two options for airfare to go from Madrid to Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh:
Airfare would be round trip from August 8-9th to September 9-10th.
First option: round trip from MAD to HAN/SGN: 737€(flyscanner) - 830€ (ITA)
Second option: round trip from August 9th to September 10th from Madrid(MAD) to Bangkok(BKK) - 475€ (skyscanner) and round trip with Air Asia from August 11th to September 9th from Bangkok (Don Mueang DMK) to Ho Chi Minh (SGN)- 75€
I was thinking of doing couchsurfing those 2 nights in Bangkok while changing airports. I've never done it before.
That would make the second option 202€ cheaper than the first one.
My question is, in your experience are those 202€ worth the mess with the airport changing and, is it something one would want to do or is it too risky to do the first time traveling?
