Hi guys,
First time posting but I'm facing a bit of an emergency. I currently live abroad with my gf in London UK. Our programs end at the end of August and due to exams and everything we did not have much of a chance to look into flights home to Canada (Toronto) until just this week. To our horror the prices have really flown through the roof since last we checked (cheapest we could find was around $900 on skyscanner.com with a single stop in Dublin (Aer Lingus). Further complicating matters is that we will likely need to transport more than 2 pieces of checked baggage each (likely 3 pieces of checked baggage + 1 carry on back pack each) due to all the extra bits and pieces we've picked up over the year.
We could really use some help and expertise from some of the more frequent flyers on this board in terms of finding a reasonable solution. We are completely open to shipping one of the pieces of checked baggage separate if need be (though we're not entirely sure where to start with that) and of course layovers aren't an issue so long as we end up in Toronto.
For us the price range is: ideally under $1000 each, but a little over is okay.
of bags each: 4; 3 checked suitcases, 1 backpack
Preferred airport of departure: London Heathrow (Gatwick is okay) Preferred airport of landing: Pearson International
To be honest I've only tried SkyScanner but I'm sure maybe one of you could help us out in terms of either advice or help?
Many thanks ahead of time, we greatly appreciate all you do for amateurs like us!!
