My buddy and I went to Costa Rica in Feb 2013 and loved it. We're looking to do another trip in the area for two weeks in Jan/feb 2015 but would rather see new things than visit the same places again. This brings us to our investigation of Nicaragua and Panama.
We are beach/adventure type travellers. We'll party but its not something we'd go looking for per se. Surf lessons, snorkelling, dive lessons, sailing, fishing, kayaking are all the kinds of things we'd be into. Plus a healthy dose of lounging on beaches and drinking a good share of beer and rum. For what its worth, I speak a small amount of spanish that I always seem to manage to get by with.
We'd probably want to rent a car to have the flexibility to explore beaches and that kind of thing but we're open to suggestions. I also would love to spend time in on or around islands. Any comments on Corn Islands in Nicaragua or Pearl Islands in Panama?
