Basically, I am traveling with a friend all around Europe, starting in Dublin and ending in Amsterdam. Composed of 18 cities and 40 days, I have already made a rough plan and estimate of total cost, coming to around $5000 rounded up (per person). I went on kayak.com to look for the cheapest hostels and hotels, and added the Eurail Global Pass for infinite train travel while in Europe. Any tips from fellow travelers on keeping the budget low, especially for food and shelter? Already been to Europe plenty of times with the family, but first time with a friend.
