I live in Chile and want to do a 2 or 3 week trip in Aug/Sept with my girlfriend to Brazil. My rough outline right now is flying into Rio de Janeiro (we would stay with a friend there) for a couple nights and then onto Bahia / the NE for most of the trip before back to Rio for a couple more nights. Outside of Salvador, what would be good to add to the itinerary? Relaxation is a priority, but so is seeing cool shit. Thanks!
