Recently looking for flights from Philadelphia to Manchester UK. The best price I got was for a non stop US airways from PHL to MAN for ~$1700. Then I searched NY all airports to MAN for the same time period, the best price I got was for $1000. It seemed like a no brainer to go up to Newark and take the flight. But here's the kicker, it transits in Philly for 3 hours, only to get on the $1700 flight that I didn't want to buy. Can I just buy the NY to Manchester ticket, and only board in Philly?
