We're going to Fiji on our honeymoon for a week on September 8th. From the research I've done there are a lot of touristy things to do in Nadi, which isn't always bad, but I would love to experience Fiji and all it has to offer. I don't want to just be a tourist. Zip lining, snorkeling, a few hikes, etc. are all well and good. But I was wondering if reddit had any MUST DO activities and definite DO NOT DOs while we are over there.
I know Nadi is a pretty touristy place and unfortunately I don't have an option of where we're staying. It's a time share my parents are letting me use. So any activities off Denarau Island will take travel time and we will need to be back within the day. I'm also aware of the time difference of where I live and I will want to recuperate and adjust to the time difference for the first day or two (do low key activities or just relax on the beach). We will be trying to operate on a tighter budget and hope for any activities on the cheap.
