This is for a (potential) coworker. We're both college students being hired by a TEFL school in China to teach English from early July to late August.
The consulate for him in Houston isn't granting him a visa because they need to see an invitation from the school. I showed him the invitation I used to get my visa from Los Angeles, and apparently that is the same thing he showed his consulate in Houston. But they aren't granting him the visa.
Obviously, he's gonna have to complain to them, talk to a manager, etc. But even if that works, there won't be enough time to get it processed. Is there a way he can (legally) get into China before his work visa is cleared/confirmed?
