Hi /r/travel! I'm planning a week in Peru this November and I'm looking for tips to what cities I visit while there. I know, I know; 1 week isn't a lot, but it is what it is.
If I can avoid flying within the country that'd be preferred (train or bus?)
About me: I'm a physically fit, American male in my mid-twenties. I like taking outdoor adventures but I'm not too keen on long hikes or extended time in the sun. I would like to visit ancient sites, but I'm not one to make an entire trip out of it.
I'm more interested in people and culture than sights. I love food and drink, and will likely be focusing on that the whole trip.
I've only really looked at Lima and Arequipa.
