Hey everyone,
I'm living in Oman currently, but I need to leave the country in two weeks in order to renew my visa (already extended once). This is not really something that I had budgeted for, so I looked for the cheapest tickets I could find and they were to either Dubai or Mumbai.
I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on which would be better for a short, solo weekend trip (keeping in mind that it is Ramadan right now -so alcohol is out in Dubai). I'd like to stay somewhere cheap in either place (hostel or airbnb).
I have never been to the UAE or India, though I have lived in a couple Middle Eastern countries. My Arabic is passable (though probably not needed in Dubai) and my Hindi is nonexistent.
Thoughts?
