From the other thread about overrated places, what places are out of the way and worth it?
For example, I think the Grand Canyon is worth a trip, even though there's nothing around, but anyone making a trip specifically to see Mt. Rushmore will be carsick and underwhelmed. People seemed to say the same about Stonehenge in the other thread.
Thoughts?
