In a few weeks my family and I will be travelling to NRW in Germany for a week. I will be heading there and back trough Belgium , over-nighting in Ghent on the way there after passing through Brugge, Aachen on the first night there and then over-nighting in Liege on the way back after passing through Monschau. Things that I know that we will do are the Aachener and Koelner Dom, and hopefully the suspended railway in Wuppertal. However, that still leaves 4 days in which to find stuff to do, as well as stuff to do in Cologne and Aachen alongside the Cathedrals there and in the Wuppertal area as well.So I am somewhat stuck as to what to do, and where to stay to provide a decent hub to explore the region. Is Bonn worth a visit. What about Dusseldorf, Essen, Dortmund and Duisburg; Is there anything to do there?
