Quick question about some flights I took back in December 2013. I flew from DCA to Christchurch, NZ and back, via LAX and Sydney. Itinerary is below. I'm looking to make any last efforts to get the miles for these flights on any FF account possible.
I've already gained credit for the Alaska flight with AA, but I'd love to get the miles for the Virgin flights somehow. I checked out Delta, but they have a limit of 14 days or so for travel prior to becoming a member (and I only just became a SkyMiles member). Can't join Velocity as that's Australia/NZ region only. Do any of their other partners allow you to claim miles for flights prior to becoming a member, up to the 7/8 months that would apply here?
DCA -> LAX with Alaska Airlines LAX -> SYD with Virgin Australia SYD -> CHC with Virgin Australia (Air New Zealand codeshare)
