[3 persons][Non-stop flight Berlin-London][04th Aug. - 8th Aug.]First time visiting London. Questions about flight ticket and hotel prices. Is what I have found out so far acceptable or can I do better?

Dear /r/travel,

this will be our first time visiting London. We're asking ourselves whether the prices we have so far are okay, or normal for this time of the year and this time of booking, or if they are "overpriced".

Regarding the flights, Google Flights shows prices starting at 712€ (3 persons, easyJet, non-stop) and going up to 825€ (3 persons, RyanAir, non-stop).

ITA Matrix, Skyscanner, Kayak and various other price matching sites, as well as the airline websites themsevles, show similar prices.

Are these prices "okay", or are they much too high (for example, because we are booking so late and should have booked months prior).

Regarding hotels, we have so far checked hotels near Paddington Station, Bayswater and Earl's Court (we thought these places are pretty central and have easy access to the tube.

The Shakespeare Hotel and Dolphin Hotel (Paddington Station) have only single rooms for the duration, at £79 (99€)

The Wedgewood Hotel (Bayswater) has single rooms (£95/120€), double rooms (£100-120, 125-150€) and twin rooms (£100-120, 125-150€).

We weren't able to check prices for the Best Western Burns Hotel (Earl's Court), because the website displayed some error and wouldn't load.

Same as with the flight tickets, are the prices for these hotels acceptable?

Are we too stupid to pick qualitatively good and affordable hotels? The prices above are too high for our budget, can you recommend hotels which have lower prices, but are still affordable?

Thanks a lot!
