Hi! I am going to stay to New Zealand (Wellington specifically) for around a year and I have spent weeks trying to find the cheapest route.
I have noticed that going on skyscanner and finding flights that go directly from Paris to Wellington was way more expensive than trying to find flights From Paris to Singapore and then from Singapore to Sydney and then From Sydney to Wellington for example.
Although, this is quite a pain in the ass and once you click on the tickets you realise you have to add a fifty dollar fee just because "fuck you". So it can end up being more expensive and quite ass painful.
So do you guys have any tip of an efficient cheap route to get there or do you think I should just get a ticket "Paris-Wellington" and stop thinking?
