Hello r/travel!
My friend and I are quitting our jobs and going backpacking through Asia for a year. We are planning on going to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Mainland China. She has been a Type 1 diabetic since she was six. She was wondering how easy it is to buy insulin (namely Humalog and Levermir or Lantus as a second choice) in smaller areas of Southeast Asia. Should we stock up in Canada and maybe again in Singapore or is it possible to pick up supplies along the way? Does anyone have any experience travelling long-term with Type 1 diabetes? Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated!
