I've been a fairly loyal user of TA for a number of years. I'm fairly fastidious when it comes to reviewing places I've stayed, areas I've visited, restaurants I've eaten at etc. I also spend a bit of time in their forums helping out people where I can.
I was at a function recently talking to another fairly frequent traveller (both of us are in the 100+ nights a year in hotels) and he all but laughed at my use of TripAdvisor due to how "corrupt" it is and how most reviews can't be trusted.
He's a fan of Lonely Planet, which I find really clunky and hard to navigate (although I said the same about Reddit once upon a time - I'm sure I'd get used to LP if I used it more) and finds their reviews more believable.
So I thought I'd pose to you guys - what do you use for your reviews? Do you review? Do you read reviews?
