Hi there,
What a terrible tragedy yesterday was. It seems incredibly unlucky for an airline to have two disasters in such a short space of time.
I am booked for MH17 in November, and will be flying the Amsterdam - Kuala Lumpur route both ways.
As Malaysia Airlines have had such a huge financial & perception setback, do you think they will last much longer? Being state owned does that prop them up a bit? They have been making huge losses.
I booked through a travel agent, and as far as I'm aware I don't think there is any sort of cancellation insurance as part of the ticket.
Would appreciate any input as to what you think may happen, or what I could do to cover myself in the event that the airline folds.
Thanks in advance for your help,
K
