I made an online reservation on Hostel Bookers last Thursday for a one-night stay in a Barcelona hostel for 5 people. Got the confirmation email and everything. Just today I got an email saying our room was double booked. They offered me an apartment instead, but I told them I would only accept it if it were the same price or lower. While I'm certainly up for adventure, the girls I'm traveling with are, unfortunately, very uptight and they're not sure about how they feel about staying in some random apartment. What safety concerns should I be aware of? What rights do I have in this situation? Please share personal experiences or advice if this has happened to you. Thank you!
