Come September I will be off traveling for a year. In November I will be in Thailand, however I am still undecided on which country I would like to spend the holidays in.
Hong Kong is generally considered to be pretty fun when it comes to New Years. But I've also heard ringing in the New Years in Taiwan is just as good or even better than HK, unfortunately it goes by the wayside in terms of New Years celebrations around the world.
I hope to arrive at the beginning of December; I will be spending a month in each country that I visit. Budget-wise I've calculated an estimate of $2,500 to $3,000 for a duration of one month. Not much of a drinker/clubber but I can adapt. Fireworks, festivals, fun activities around the holidays I am down for.
